Overview
The Ohle Continental Foil (CF) located at Plettenberg-Ohle in Germany’s Sauerland region is part of the Novelis Foil & Technical Product platform dedicated to the production of aluminium.
With the 2100 mm wide foil rolling mill, Continental Foil (CF) is specialised in the rolling of high performance alloys used for various applications such as containers, converter foil and industrial products.
Today, the combination of advanced equipment and a team that blends years of rolling experience and sustained product development, allows CF’s product range to meet the technical requirements of many applications. For the container business this means supplying foil for smooth and wrinkled wall, plain and lacquered products. The plant also boasts a combined chemical degreasing and continuous annealing line for container and other applications which have very demanding levels of surface cleanliness and requirements for excellent mechanical properties.
CF also supplies foilstock raw material to Luedenscheid, the other German site of the foil platform located less than 20km away, for converter and technical products applications.
